    Trailer Lighting Question

    Hi Guys,

I'm currently working on my trailer (new lights, checking the wires, etc). Everything works great, brake lights, turn signals, hazards. Everything except the night time running lights. Any ideas?

It's not the truck, because i attached another trailer to test this out, and the night time running lights worked...

    Thanks!

I believe the brown wire is the hot (+) for the running gear, get yourself a test light and make sure your getting power, if not you have to track down where the connection is cut. You also want to make sure you have a good clean ground (White wire)

    Thanks for the diagram...

I also traced back the wires, there was some corrosion on the side marker so I just bypassed the amber sidemarker making it a straight run to each of the rear lights. Tried a different plug...NOTHING. Same problems! All functions of both lights work, except the night "running lights".

If you dont have a test light you can pick one up at just about any auto parts store for less than $10, this will greatly help you out in terms of tracking down the culprit. If your not running LED's check your bulbs as the vibration and such can break the filiment very easily.

No, that's the issue. Everything works except the running lights
