WTB "Turn Key" 66V GP1200R Engine

I blew-up my engine in my 2000 GP1200R this past weekend and would like to purchase a complete ready to engine assembly less carbs, exhaust, and stator and cover. Please let me know what you have. I'd like to be back on the water this weekend if possible.

hate to say it but SBT is probably your best bet for something like that

I hate to say it too, but SBT is probably the fastest way you'll get on the water.. It's $1900 for a 2 year fault-free warranty.. You need to send them your old engine as a core.. Can't beat the warranty, but from what I hear their engines can be a hit or miss...

We have an SBT that we blew up - left out plugs and filled hull with water . It is still under warranty - good for us/bad for them. They have had it for 2 weeks, we called today and they said it will be at least 2 more weeks before they even get any 1200 motors - So, it won't be quick for sure - now ours is a PV, don't know what you would need. Our first motor blew up before break in was complete, second motor was cracked like someone had dropped it when trying to box it (didn't notice it until we had it ready to drop in the ski) so we sent it back. Third motor ran good but we blew it up. Getting tired of putting it motors - but it wasn't their fault it blew - so guess it is good we got the warranty.

how about a hybrid 1200/1300 motor

1200R cases and crank - approx 100 hrs
1300 cylinders, pistons, PVs - approx 35 hrs

it would be an easy swap, we would just need to increase the jetting a bit (I have all the jetting parts you would need)

motor is in a working ski, you can read about it here

you could even test drive the motor before I pulled it out for you (I warn you if you do this you will be spoiled, this ski handles incredibly well)

and did I mention I am only 3 hrs and 20 min away

and just because someone else mentioned the SBT word, you need to be aware their engines really are not as good as Yamaha OEM engine

they use cheaper crank bearings and they sleeve the cylinders and the porting on the sleeves is pretty crude
