Premix vrs injection smoke
For you guys who have went with premix, did it increase the amount of idle/idle zone smoking? The reason I ask is I have a GK 1390, and they recommend adding an additional ounce of oil per gallon if on injection. It does smoke noticable when going thru idle zones, and if I thought it would smoke less on total premix, I would do that since I have to add oil anyway.

Depends what kind of oil you are using. That factor comes into play. I used Amsoil and even running pig rich its didn't smoke too too bad

Yes, it smokes more idling on premix, but it's not bad...
I'm running premix on my 1390 for the same reason... If you have to add oil anyway you might as well go full premix...
If I were running a stock boat I'd probably keep the injection and replace the lines once in awhile and keep an eye on things.

It will smoke more if you are going to go to full premix.
