    2000xp vts short

ok i can hot wire my vts and it works from the back of the motor. from what i can tell you hook it to the battery one way it goes one way you hook it the other way it goes the other way. i had thought it was in my switch so i bought a new one no luck. it was blowing the fuse my question is can i run new wires from the switch to the vts? as its hard to tell trace the wires and tell where my problems is? any other seggestions would be helpfull.
    Thanks

It sounds like your VTS housing/electronics is bad but the motor is still good. These units are notorious for this problem. You just need to buy a new housing. I believe they are around $200-250 new.
