    Cool 2004 rxp mods

New here but here we go...Have a 04 RXP I have put in the riva intake grate, air intake system, rear exhaust set up, O.P.A.S block off kit, also has a solas impeller and is currently getting the injectors upgraded to the #42's and is getting the original super charger swapped out with a new RXP-X super charger..Just wondering if anyone has ran this set up and if there were any problems with it or anything I should know before I take it out this weekend, It ran consistant 8,000 RPM without the supercharger and injectors and out ran an X without it also...Any help would be appreciated...Thanks Doyle

I think you can keep the stock injectors, maybe 42's, with that setup. The 48's will be rich at idle and cruise and not neede with that charger and stock intercooler.

You don't have to run an external intercooler, but it will add about 2 mph.

Just for example, from the 4-tec speeds and mods database.

Example 1: Stock intercooler, 42# injectors, Riva Stage 3 SC, stock ECU, 77.0 mph

Example 2: XS intercooler, 42# injectors, Riva Stage 3 SC, stock ECU, 80.2 mph

The X charger is slightly better than Riva Stage 3, from what I hear.

Keep in mind when you change injectors that the stock ECU is calibrated for the stock injectors (39's). When you change injectors, it gets more fuel ALL THE TIME, so you sacrifice mileage and maybe foul some plugs. I generally recommend to stay within 10% of the stock injector size. If the 42's aren't enough for you, then you need to look at the Riva ECU/50's, RRFPR, or a piggy back like the Rude Fuel controller or AEM F/IC.

Also, when upgrading the supercharger and/or the intercooler, you'll probably need a reduction nozzle, new propeller, or prop re-pitch.
