I got the Z71 tahoe now. had it for about 3 years.

overall it nice, fully loaded, leather DVD,XM, every option available.

    likes
17" rims with meatty tread OEM
looks smooth, rounded corner-not to big - not to small
awsome inside-every things power,xm,sunroof,dvd,12 speaker premiere surround sound, super comfortable heated seats, etc
4 wheel drive at the touch of a button. on-demand while moving.
heavy hitch with 7 pin RV plug factory.

    Don't like
underpowered- Its NOT going to pull your 4 place trailer well. I find that with a 16' box trailer with a gross loaded weight of appox 5000lbs it barely can pull that thing up hills.
Size- thought id like the small tahoe instead of the big suburban. our tahoe only seats 5.(no third row) well with 3 kids and the wife thats 5 But as you already know you never have just your kids. they always want a Friend to go to. now that 7 to 8 squeezing into a 5 person tahoe. GET SOMETHING WITH THIRD ROW SEATING. you'll be happy you did.
Maintenance- got 105k on it now. we have had a few problems with it already. Kristen's gets on that tahoe forum and they all say they have had similar electronic issues. radio always losses it prg stations, no matter how many time i reset driver2 seat/mirror position, every time i use my remote to unlock it the dam truck thinks im 2 feet tall and move the seat into the steering wheel, all the mirror turn down and the stations all change

overall i like it but thinking i may trade in for a diesel suburban or expidition.

Thanks Daniel. I totally forgot that you had one.
I do not care much for the new models, much less hardly could afford one. This one is an 05 and has everything you mentioned + sunroof and 3rd row seating. My big concern was the electronics and the push button 4x4. As for towing, you just confirmed my fears. Luckly, I have access to a 2 place trailer so it should not be to big of a deal. I was going to read up on some of the programmers to see if they make one that will give me more power while towing.
This is mainly going to be a "family" vehicle so I will leave the 4 place towing to the truck.
    Thanks for the input.
