    LONG trip on 06 GPR1300r?????????

Quick question for you 1300R riders. I am considering on taking a trip this up coming wknd on my 06 GPR 1300R. We will be doing a 150 mile trip from Va to NC. My question do you guys think my 06 will make it 43 miles on 3/4 of a tank of gas at a speed of 45 or 50? I just dont know if this ski will be a good one to take on a trip of this sort. Any inputs??

It will be tight, but possible. You may need to go slower. A few years ago, a friend and I made a 50 mile round trip on the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers. That water was fairly smooth, though. I imagine you'll be in somewhat rough conditions which will impact your mileage. I had just gone to a 1300 BB. We did some side by side holeshot racing and a couple of short WOT runs. However, the majority of the time I ran at 38 MPH. The buzzer still had not gone off at the ramp. I started with a full tank. Any reason you can't?

You may also want to consider the fuel clunk mod to your pickup. You'll get every last drop.

Our annual bridge to bridge race this year just on 40miles, WOT still had two bars left at the finish

I've ridden the Freedom ride from Woodbridge Va. to the Lincoln Memorial in Wash D.C. about a 50 mile round trip ride on a 2004 Riva RRE 1300. I was on the buzzer for the last 20 miles of the ride and was afraid I was going to run out of gas before I got back to the start.... Made it just fine and took the ski to the gas station and filled it back up to see exactly how much gas I had used... I still had four gallons left in the tank... took just a little over 11 gallons to fill the 15.9 gallon tank... I rode a steady 35 mph most of the way up and ran pretty hard racing a bunch of skis on the way back... Your mileage may vary...

you should be good especially if you are close to stock.. If your gas buzzer goes off go easy and try and not unhook out of the water to much cause you could lean a cylinder.. if all else fails just throw a xtra 2 gallons on the back of the ski..

    you should be fine.

We rode from panama City to Destin via the intercoastal waterway and made it there on one tank, refueled and drove back on another tank. It was about 60 miles one way. Not exactly sure but close to that. Had about 1-2 gal left when we got to the dock.

Empty tank only held 14 gal

When I first got my 08GPR I rode it out of fuel. I could start it but it would die as soon as I got it up on plane. I was with a friend that had a big boat so we just towed it back. When I filled it up I could only get 14.0 gal in it, it would not hold any more! Any thoughts?
