Mikuni SBN44 Base gasket alternative?
I ordered two Mikuni rebuild kits for my 760. Being the assumptive person that I am, I figured these kits came with the carb base to intake manifold gaskets (Like kits for cars do). Well, it appears not. These bases look suspiciously like old school Volkswagen carb bases. I am wondering if there is something I can pick up at the auto parts store instead of waiting ANOTHER week to put the ski in the water....

Yes auto parts stores carry gasket material in sheets and you can cut your own.

I am aware of gasket material being available. I am lazy, and afraid I would screw something like that up. I was asking if there were any gaskets already made that would cross over to what I need.

yami sells that gasket separately but it's 13 $ each x 2 or if yours is semi decent coat it / them with marine grease and reuse it but I'm not aware of a common auto gasket that will fit? like a Chevy t state housing or what have you? lol

Yeah.. I guess I am going to hit Advance tomorrow night, and go in the back and just try a bunch of different gaskets. I know the people there, and thankfully they will let me do that.
I still say it looks an awful lot like a VW carb gasket.
