    sanding in front of intake grate

    ive tried searching up all the hull trueing posts but cant find some solid info on wether or not to flatten/sand out the "?hook/bump?" that is right before the intake grate...

    to those of you who have done it- do you recommend it? what does it do? does it affect handling? what gains are seen?

    i sanded a little in that area when i trued my hull, but was told to not remove the hump/lump..

    will try to find pics..

    cant report pros or cons but can just forward the info not to sand the hump out

    To be truthfull....If it isn't broke don't fix it. I have a 1300 tripple, my hull isn't in the best of shape, the V in the middle that goes to the middle of the ski.......well mine is flattend like a pancake, scratches little gouges everywhere, this ski lifts and flys 85+ 83-84 sitting on the seat. If your ski lifts and doesn't bounce, don't mess with it.......

    dont mess with the hump... it helps direct the water to help with overstuffing.
