    Question 8800 ECU

I see it mentioned a fee times in this forum. Were can you buy the Rotax Racing ECU? Do you have to have a dealer use the Bud to set up this ecu ?? I have a riva stage 3 ecu now but would like to raise my RPM level. Thanks.

Addition of after market ecu's also require Riva's valve spring upgrade to handle the higher rpm's. Do a little searching and you'll find many threads about this.

You MUST use light weight valves with this ecu... And ,no , you dont need to mess with buds system.. Rotax ecu will mess with the speedo reading on your ski, but thats it. Its a great mod... It will wake your stage 3 right up!!! You can conservatively say 2/3 mph gain.

How come the Riva ECU needs set up with BUDS, but the RR doesn't?

Because part of the setup procedure is contacting BRP which voids your warranty, if you still have one... Ron

I just got a Riva Racing Catalogue in the mail today and it had all the info for the performance packages and it listed all their parts and what other things you needed in order to run them, learned alot, great magazine!

Would The Rotax ECU Void The Warranty?
