What else is needed to run Riva ECU?

With my current mods what else is required to run the Riva ECU?
50lb injectors and upgraded valve train?

BTW I tried to search ECU, but returns nothing, might not be enough, but Riva ECU brings tons of just Riva threads.

hey Gus, have you cosidered the rotax 8800?
You should do light weight valve upgrade and get the 8800...
Riva ecu will leave you wanting " just alittle more"....

I think you will need a valve train upgrade kit... and the 50s like you stated and thats it...

    Hey Gus,

Keep me informed on the ECU upgrade... I have been tinkering with the thought myself. It's funny... the primary use on my RXT is a tow vehicle for wakeskating. But every now and then I need a speed fix.

Thanks. Yeah, I saw the other thread where you mentioned a couple MPH difference. I have a chance to grab a Riva one used from a friend at a really good price and was just debaiting it. Before I jumped on it though I wanted to see what else was required since my last one upgrade of $400 quickly became $1,500. Maybe I will hold out to get the Rotax over the winter.
Oh yeah, will also need new prop or repitch.

I have extended warranty left, so I'd have to get a Riva that's already been programmed. I'd say go with the Rotax one... from what I've read it seems like a pretty solid ECU. But what do I know... Keep us posted.

On the other hand the RR ECU lacks a knock sensor, so you can never run less than adiquate fuel even by accident

Yeah, me too. The one I was looking to buy was already unlocked.
