    Welcome to the Green Hulk!!!

Is 45 mph from the speedo or a gps unit. The factory speedometers can be fairly unreliable. It could be that your gauge is just reading low.

Another thing to consider is trim/rider placement. trimming the nose of the ski up and/or moving further back on the seat will bring the nose out of the water further, and increase speed. The down side to this "nose up" riding is it can sometimes cause the ski to start to porpoise (bounce.)

One more thing, has there been any mods done to the ski? ride plate, intake grate, sponsons, etc? Some of these mods can scrub some top end speed.

How about some pictrues of your new ride???

measure your speed with a gps and get back to us. for all we know it could be your dream-o-meter

do a compression test while your at it and then get back to us

will give u some clues as to what to look at after that, OK?

    good luck

    thanks for the welcome

yes that is a gps reading, and ur right bout the speedo it did'nt work when i first bought it. i had ran the trim in all positions but it does'nt seem to make much differnce and there is no mods.

Also i failed to mention when i accerate, the engine will rev as if it was a car was spining its tires and won't accerate much till i lay off the gas a bit and this is the reason for me leaning toward the impeller as the problem.

I think you are on the right track with the impeller. Pull the pump and check your wear ring clearance and the bearings.

I am having the same problem with my 95 900ZXI. 35 is the most I can get out of mine right now. and when I make a hard turn it will hardly get out of its own way. Surely this ski should go much faster. How do you pull the pump? is there a manual for this ski on this forum? The only thing different on my ski is it does have a aftermarket scoop style intake grate. For some reason I am leaning towards fuel starvation. Could this possibly be the cause of this??
