First get rid of the worx grate and slap a 1200 grate on there... Send your head to Jim or Carl and have it milled... 3* timing key and a set of reeds and that thing should jump out of the hole!

Hey Don, what kinda compression are you running? You are at 1600 feet, so your comp will be down a bit. More compression would definitely help.

I put a 3 degree key in my ski, and it woke up the middle big time. I am running a 800 grate, so my bottom suffers a bit. My old ski has a 1200 grate, jetworks kit, and a 13-19 on it(its a 1200), and it actually beats me out of the hole.

if you make more HP this typically helps the low and mid so motor mods would help, things like

    - aftermarket reeds (Vforce III)

    - timing key, but be aware they are a lot of work to install

    - raise compression (the more the better) but if you raise compressinm then you also have to use a EFI controller and you have to use premium fuel

using a Skat Trak full swirl impeller is the best non-motor mod you can do to help the low end

just to offer a different opinion, I have found the worx grate to be fine and unlike the Riva or R&D double bar grates it won't break, in this link below see the picture of modification I did to my worx grate - with this mod it puts the worx grate's perfarmance on par with the Riva/R&D double bar grates

I didnt see jetwork mod. This gives a really good hole shot by leaving the water box empty till a specific rpm.
Scat will scrub some speed on top.

oh wait now I see it. Leo's hs kit
