    RPM's BELOW 8000 With 4" Intake

    Here's the dets:

    '06 RXP
4" Intake (Aluminum Tube no filter) to 3"(around the back of the motor to the side) Tube and Silicone adapter
    Riva Oil Catch Can
    R&D Aquavein Grate
    Riva Sponsons
    Plate Holes filled

Glass Water, 85 Degree Air Temp, 84 Degree Water Temp, and the RPM's MAX out at 7920!!!

1st ride after the intake upgrade, and I was worried about the RPM's being to high! What it the deal? From what I have read here, the temps aren't high enough to make that much of a difference.

I am going to order the SC adapter from Jerry this morning and change the tubing out to the Kanaflex and run the upto the adapter/SC.

    What Mod should be next?

I'd bet that your new grate is actually scrubbing a bit of speed right now...on glass. With more ponies it'll help.

In choppier conditions I'd say you'll see better hook up.

Improvise/create your own 4"+ intake to the rear...keep the 3" to the sc to a minimum....ie, reduce the intake tube's dia right at the sc.

...I hope you at least have a screen on the end of your intake?

    ...reading comprehension..heh....

Going with a 4" adapter at the sc will work fine...it does get tight in there though.

I love the grate, you can really feel the hook-up in the chop like you say, feels awesome.

I just ordered the 4" intake adapter from Jerry, now I will order the Kanaflex to run from the front to the SC adapter. The aluminum is a flexible hose (kinda like a Dryer hose).

    Thanks again!

Have you removed the plastic tubes that route air into the hull? Like the one that starts under the storage bin in front of the seat....

Hito, what rpms were you running prior to the mod? What impeller are you running?

Pull all vent tubes, both front (2 part setup) and rear (off the cowel)...

The CORK in the setup is probably the 4-3 stepdown, but without any pics its tough to visualize...

I had this out but was getting some water into my intake and bogging my motor when playing, BUT I was down on RPM with this in. My solution was I used a 1.5" holesaw and drilled the top side of this piece full of holes. Performance is back up and no more water

    Removed

All Front OEM intake parts back to the SC. I did not remove the 'rear seat' OEM 'Air Exhaust' parts......should I?
