    Another I.R. Special

Just picked up and tested my '01 GPR 1200 Stg I/II(?): Stock cylinders, stock carbs, stock head AND stock pump, - 76.5 w/ 3 bars. Unbelieveable! Talk about reliability.

    Thanks again Carl.

What can you tell us about the mods on the 1200 doing 76+

That is great for a 1200!

I'll answer for Brendan since he hardly posts on the Yamaha site (unfortunately he's an RXPee fanatic).

He has VForce3 Reeds, 800 grate, gas valves, Advent CDI, no trim tabs, flame arrestors, Nujet 6.5, single pipe with d-plate, no jetworks mod and IR angled-mod rideplate.

After thoroughly warming up the ski, first speed run was 76.3 and second run was 76.5. This speed was achieved in a very short distance. He ran the ski fat because of the cold weather/water.

Rafi is correct on all the mods. The gpr was just recently converted back from a triple piper for added reliability. As per Carl, the ski should run 77 when dialed in further. Waiting for some better conditions.
