What do you all think of this?

Tempting, but the ski would have to go along with the current car (obviously ) and possibly another toy. I think his asking price is a little high though. Thoughts???

Yea, that's not a great price. I would think you could find one under 10K

I had a 2000 Trans Am for a long time. Great car to mod and have fun with. The SS will be the same.

    Beautiful car... almost 93,000 miles...
I have two friends that both have Camaros with 100,000 miles, both of them seem to be self destructing as they hit 100K...
    food for thought.

    Wahhh? Are they LS1 1998+ V8s?

These motors are bullet proof and will run for 200k miles with out an issue. A testament to the strength of the LS1 bottom end is me running a 200 shot direct port on it for over 30k miles with no issue. If you treat the car the way it should be treated it will run almost forever. Only issue you will have on the LS1 Camaros and Trans Ams are the electric window motors going out, the alternator going out, and power steering going out.

Im not sure on the specifics on the problems LT1s have, but I do know that the ones I know of are prone to problems. However most are heavily modded. The difference between the LT1 motors and the LS1 motors are night and day. LS1 is stronger, faster, and lighter.

Yea, I've never really heard any complaints about the LS motors only praise.
