While we are on the subject... Who would win in a 1/2 mile drag race with all things equal?
stx-1200 or 15F
Please no replies from some 2-stroke nut-job telling me all about how 2-strokes are better blah blah blah...
Has anyone ever actually done this with two stock boats side-by-side?

A STXR, well let me refraise it depends on what is done to the 15f. It both engines are bone stock and just handling mods are done to both the STXR but a 15F has much much more potential. If both were stock motor and impellers/handling were changed regardless stock vs. stock motor STXR is quicker and on top about the same so a 15F wouldn't catch it in 1/2 mile.

Both ski's bone stock....stxr would win and stay ahead.
This is per research and lots of reading and my own testing on my ski.
Plus the reading part is per multiple magizine test from PWCI....many shootout that show accel numbers and speed.
They are very close but stxr -0-20 matches RXP and the 15F is just a little slower. But not by much. But stxr and 15F mid and top are pretty much the same out of 4 magazine tests.
So being faster out of the block would mean more than likely the stxr will beat it everytime.
Hope this helps
