    Throttle sticking on RXP-X

Has anyone experienced the throttle body sticking on the RXP-X?

I disconnected the throttle cable to eliminate that possibility, and operated the throttle by hand and it was sticking.

Thinking about changing it out under warranty if I can't find the cause.

    Thanks for all replies,
    Chris

Have you tried lubing the throttle body through the yellow lube port?... Ron

Not yet, I didn't have any sea-doo lube on hand today and I wasn't sure about using wd-40.

most any penetrating lube will work. Sea doo lube is actually not a good idea for in the TB because it can cause build up. if you lube the throttle shaft at every point possible and there are no visible signs of corrosion i would take it in for warranty work. Explain to you dealer how this situation put you in danger of a collision with another craft or object and you should see speedy results.

thats a good idea if the craft is still under warrenty, but be awear its the summer and the dealers are very buisy, you might be off the water longer than expected, so for a simple lube, its worth doing it yourself

The 'Yello lube port' is that the bit that sticks out the top of the motor (& clips into the white engine cover) - i thought this was a breather of some sort?

I would be careful using WD-40 since it's flamable. You don't want to explode the plastic intake manifold... Ron

Thanks for the input guys, I just read an earlier thread about lubing the throttle body. Im going to attempt lubing this thing today.

    Chris

p.s. changing the body under warranty wouldn't have been much of an issue since my best friend owns a seadoo dealership

    again thanks for the help!
