Thumbs down Sick of carpet in my C180

I have a 07 C180 with the snap in carpet. From day one the carpet had an offal smell to it. Every time we use th boat I have to make sure the carpet is fully dry before I put the cover on the boat, or it will smell ten times worse the next time we use it. I also have kids that are always spilling stuff every were.
My question is does anyone have the same problem with the Oder? I have tried just about every cleaner from citrus to detergent, nothing seems to help. It seems like the plastics they used to make the carpet is always releasing the Oder. Has any one Changed over to the Hydro mat? I use to see the hydro mats on ebay but now I can't find them.

I have an 07 utopia with snap in carpet and haven't noticed any smell with the snap in carpet.

Just to add I like the looks of the hydro turf and if I knew i could get in and make it look nice I would consider switching over.

I own an 06 sportster.... Hydro turf was the best investment i ever made...looks clean, easy to maintane, and breaks up all the white on the boat.......i got mine from www.AandDDiscountPerformance.com took two weeks to get and about 2 hours to put in..... for the c180 it cost like $315....not that bad

its not that hard, just take your time. An extra set of hands will help on some of the bigger pieces and be sure to clean the surface of the boat well.

I also put the hydroturf in my sportster. It was a GREAT add on. Buy the stuff with the peel of backing so you don't have to deal with glue. I remember I just decided to put a piece in here and there to see how it looked and ended up doing the whole thing within an hour. It was easier than I thought to get it all in straight, and it's super easy to clean and feels great on the feet.

I've now got a nautique with carpet and miss the hydroturf.
