    Slow Stock RXP?

I finally got my GPS hooked up and took out the ski for some numbers today.

    It turned 64.6 @ 7700, elevation 50ft, 77 degree water and air.

The tank was completly full and I weigh 200lb's but these numbers still seem low to me. The ski only has 20 hours on it.

Is this just a slow stock.. or is there something I can check?

It has fresh oil, wear ring, and the impeller was recently "repaired" by the dealer.

This could be your problem right here! Your RPM's are about 400 to low!

7700 is low rpm. you should be at least 8000 shouldn't you?

As far as I know, 8100 on a stock RXP isn't all that common.. From most, I'm hearing 7900-8050. Any ideas?

Check your oil level. warm up the ski and make sure its not high. that would be why its running low rpms also..

Also are you running stock washers

I bought it off some guy when it had 8 hours on it for 5 grand... Those 8 hours seemed like hundreds to me. THE worst wear ring / prop damage I have seen on a new ski, groups of cosmetic scratches throughout.. Oil level was way to high. My guess is that he beached the ski, and used reverse to remove the ski from the sand and rocks..

When I got it, it turned 7600 at best, it now, As said by the dealer, has a new wear ring, repaired prop and "correct" oil level and only gets 7750..

    Anyone?
