    96 Xp Bogging

    I STOPPED FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES AND IT WAS HARD TO START TOOK ALOT OF CRANKING AND THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED BUT I GOT IT TO START THEN I WAS RIDING AND ALL THE SUDDEN IT STARTED BOGGING THEN IT WOULD CLEAR UP SO I STAYED RIDING AND ON THE WAY BACK IN IT STARTED BOGGING REAL BAD AND NOT CLEARING UP i TRYED TO PULL THE CHOKE WHILE IT WAS BOGGING AN THAT JUST KILLED THE ENGINE BUT IT STARTED RIGHT BACK UP BUT STILL BOGGING CHANGED THE PLUGS STILL THE SAME CHECKED SPARK AND I HAVE GOOD SPARK IN BOTH CYLINDERS I CHECKED THE FUEL FILTER AND IT WAS DIRTY I CLEANED THAT AND ITS STILL BOGGING EVEN ON THE TRAILER IT IS POPPING THROUGHT THE FRONT CARB LIKE IF ITS TO MUCH FUEL WHAT SHOULD I CHECK NOW

    When was the last time you cleaned the carbs? Do you have grey tempo fuel lines?

    The Carbs Were Cleaned About 3 Rides Ago About 2 Months Ago And I Replaced The Gray Lines With New Black Ones And I Put A New Fuel Valve

    did you put new gaskets under the carbs? you might have an air leak or air in the lines how old is the coil? try cutting back the plug wires and reintall the boots.

    Yes I Used New Carb Gaskets And I Cut Back The Coil Wires Before I Found Out My Rectifire Was Bad I Have Not Replaced The Rectifire Yet Just Running It With The Red Wire Unpluged Could This Be A Problem I Have Used The Ski Twice Since I Had The Rectifire Problem I Also Cleaned The Rave Valves When I Got Home Today

    Have you checked your ground and battery connections for corrosion? you might have corrosion inside the ground cable...

    possibly, just trying to cover all the bases before this becomes an electrical gremlin

    With the rec/rect disconnected it is not charging the battery,it will only run so long before the voltage gets low enough to cause running problems.
