Thread: Electrical

Hello. I have a 94 750slx which was hyrdo-locked. i got it running and also ran it several times without any issues. Went on vacation for a week and came back to find that it wouldn't start. I opened up the electrical box and a bunch of rusty water came out. all the connections look pretty trashed. Can I clean it up and reuse it and the CDI or does everything need to be replaced?

Hi Chris, WELCOME to the Green Hulk Forums!!!
Remove the electrical board and see how the backside looks. If it's rusty, replace the board, it's cheap.
Of course clean all connectors, wiring an the box.
If it were mine, I'd replace the CDI and voltage regulator and keep them as spares.
Once the boat runs put the old units back in and verify they are good for spares.
