    Wear ring confusion..Help.. '05 GTX 215hp

I've been to Riva three times about this.. I'm tring to replace a OEM wear ring in a '05 GTX SCIC 215 hp.. First time I got a 185 HP wear ring. Second time, I got a wear ring part # 267000372 but it won't fit. Third time I was told to srink it by putting it in the freezer( I knew this ) and put some effort into it.. I checked the OEM parts finder online and got a different # all together, when I asked about the #, I was told it the same~just a different #.. I put it in the freezer for 3 hours and put the pump out in the Florida sun and it's not even close, the beveled end fits in but that's it.. I could bang the the end of time and i still don't think it's go..
    Any suggestions?

that wear ring is the same used on RXP's for 04-05, so reference that number.....the 185 ring is thicker by 3mm....

I just got a couple of rings from Parker Yamaha. Both seemed too big, one more so than the other. It took A LOT of persuasion to get them in, but once installed they had the right clearance.

When I first looked at it, I never thought they would go, but we got them using a large mall and piece of wood. We put the wear ring on the concrete floor and beat the pump onto it.

    Hi Alex,

Part number #267000105 is the original number for the '04-'05 RXP/RXT/GTX Limited wear ring. It has been replaced by PN #267000372. It is now much more difficult to install (and remove) than the original... but it will go.

I wish I had a closet full of new #105's

When I did it like Mike said, it went right in..Beat the pump into the ring!! works like a charm, getting it off is going to be a different story..

Well. . . I'm not the typical engineer. How many engineers say to use a "large mall and a piece of wood" to "persuade" something?
