    Onboard vids-RXT-X

    I got a new video camera. Its the VIO POV. This is a small "bullet" camera that you can pretty much mount anywhere. It's a pretty neat little unit. It comes with a little cpu that has a screen and recording unit built in. It records using a CMOS chip, so the quality is only 720X480 max.

    I tried a few different mounting options, but I want to maintain "point of view", so there had to be some of the ski in the picture. The microphone is attached to the cord, so it's pretty much useless. I had it set to the lowest setting, and still just picked up massive amounts of wind noise.

    I will be posting a few more as they are uploaded to my photbucket account. I had to reduce the quality, otherwise it would take forever.

    Oh, this is taken this morning on Lake Havasu. It was kinda cloudy, and very humid.

    Goggle mount(useless), almost lost the camera, and almost fell of the ski when I launched.....I have to pay more attention when I nail the throttle;

    One more. This is with the handlebar mount, and the side mount; No music this time. There wasn't enough buoys to make a full course so I did the best I could.

    Here's the ski in the morning before the ride. You can see the side mount, on the right of the ski, and the handlebar mount;

    Copper Canyon, Lake Havasu, AZ

    Here's Copper Canyon, from side mount, and handlebar mount. I kept the file size the same as it came out of the camera on the second video. The first one had to be resized a little. Check out the video at about 2:10 remaining. I turned the ski/camera towards the rock face so you could see it better, and almost ran into the rocks. Had to grab reverse in a hurry.
