    1993 Sl750 Help!

I have a 1993 SL750 and a buddy of mine overturned it in the lake.
We turned it over, towed it to the dock and it started right up with one small problem.
When I run it full throttle it runs great for about 45 seconds then its like the thing loses power for a quick second and catches right back up to full speed.
When I played with it for the day I noticed that when it did this if I pulled the choke knob back about 1/4 to a 1/2 inch the thing ran great with no hitch.
Could this be from turning it over in the water?
Is there anything I need to know about turning it right side up?
Like I said it ran great up until it was flipped over now I have to play with the choke to get it running right.
    Any suggestions?
    Mike

Check the fuel/water separator for water? Is the ring floating?

Water can get trapped inside the carbs and clog jets. May need to open the carbs for further inspection.
