    RXT Solas Impeller

Have read many of the threads on which impeller to use on a stock RXT with many different opinions. Makes it confusing. Jerry stated in one thread that the stock impeller is junk. I'm curious though what the actual pitch is on it. My RXT will have a Greenwheel, Riva Power Filter and toploader grate. RIVA told me to use a 14/19 but RIVA stage I kit has a 14/17R. Many of the threads recommend a 14/19R. Which one is it???

The question is, are you doing mor mods in the future? I don't know if a RXT with just a GW and a Powerfilter will pull a 14/19(I'm not really pulling it but I still have the stock air intake) IF not the 14/17 would be better, if you plan to add an external IC or a gibson the 14/19 would be better becaus it gives you more room to grow HP wise.

you should be pretty darn close for a 14/19

I vote going for the 14/19, if you can't push it now, take 1mm out of the trailing edge, that way you won't be buying another prop as soon as you add anything else...

    just my .02...

Hi bro, i think that there is no one in this board that have had tested more aftermarkets props in a moded RXT than me, solas 4 blades 13/18-14/17-14/19-15/20, scat 3 blades 14/18/-15/19 etc.... for your current mods (Greenwheel, Riva power filter, Riva intake grate) the best prop is the solas 14/17R hands down but mine was not a out of the box one, it was tweaked by Frazier before he left PPG shop in Florida, with this prop i went over the 70 mph zone for the first time (73MPH in Gps) this was a very good improvement considering that my 05 RXT in stock form was only doing 63.5 MPH in Gps) but i ride in the worst conditions all year round, (carribean) mid 90 deg air and high humidity weather and salt water. This speed was done with the stock oem 83mm nozzle, now i am running close to 76 MPH @ 8550 rpms with the Rude charger, Riva ECU, 50lbs injectors, Riva 81mm ring and a 14/19 repitched to 14/20 specs by Dave from Impros, hope this info help.

I installed a greenwheel, riva front powerfilter and 14/19 R solas this summer (otherwise stock except for a pump wedge) and I turn 7950 on my 2006 RXT in the summer heat and have hit 8050-8100 on cooler evenings. I would recommend this prop.

    I agree JP!!
You really should try a 14/20 first. I did and it was fine with my intake and exhaust and intercooler mods. When I went to S3 and Rude chargers I could handle the 15/20 just fine. Now I want to try a 15/22 to see if I can pull it.

I suggest the 14/17R with the nozzle reducer. I runn a 83mm in the summer & 81mm in the spring & fall. You can even run the 81mm all the time. Your speeds & RPM will be down in the summer, but you will get better gas mileage. It easy & quick to change nozzle rings if you want more speed.

I suggest that you go with a 15/20. You will be disappointed with the performance, so you will then have no choice but to go with a 2Rude. It's a way to bait yourself into more performance .
