Oil Filter Removal 250X
Is there an easy way to remove the oil filter from my '07 Ultra X without pulling the motor out of the machine or hiring a monkey? Like the monkey idea but think I would be posting again with no results.
Can hardly get one arm in the hole. There has to be a trick to this? Do not think I can hang upside down by my ankles from a ceiling.

I have an 05 15f but the only way i can do it iis by removing the small compartment and standing on the left side of the ski and go through there. I have my whole arm up to my shoulder in it. but i can get a full grip on it. Plus its easier to put your sopping paper in that way. I dont have small forearms so this is my only way to do it...

I dropped a nut into the hull of my boat and while looking for it(i never found it, but it was found and thats all i'm telling you) I found my oil filter. I was able to also spot a rag that the previous tech had used. I was able to touch the oil filter and get a grip on it..Just in case i decided one day to change my own oil..
It ain't hard. I found it easy to get to- even if it was by accident.

I noticed in your mod you have "Front Bucket Waterproofing Mod"
I did a search and didnt find anything about it. What is it? I have a 15f and sometime have water in it and can only get it out with a rag or towel. Its a pita!

Ah yess.... allow me to explain... I wish i could take credit for this.. Hell, i wish i could find the link...Basically it's that foamy single sided tape that i believe folks use for insulation. One member on here was complaining about getting too much water in the front bucket.as you know we did not buy a ski we bought a submarine! Someone suggested that he get some of this tape, all you do is run it around the rim of the bucket. I forget what the exact size it is but it works. I just got the size that is roughly the same as the lip on the bucket. You might have to experiment with the thickness of the tape- too thick and it wont close properly the latch will be under slight pressure...
