    Handlebar risers and stuff

Crazy posted this over at Hydrotoys.
    http://www.roxspeedfx.com/index.html

I like to stand up when I ride. Unfortunately, it kills me to have to lean over the bars. This company offers a pretty stylish bar extentions. I've ordered a set, and will try them out.

I think my throttle cable will be too short. I've got to come up with one that is at least 6" longer. Does anyone have a part number to a longer throttle cable than the gpr stock one?

Don't we all wish for that?

    Mark,
I don't know if you noticed, but under the snowmobile section they offer an adjustable riser in 2 different versions for the 1 1/8" bars. One is good for a total of 4-5.5" and the other is 5.5-7" I think. They have an adapter bar they sell for the install to 7/8". Just another option if you wanted to try it.

Parts arrived today. I also spent a few bucks on an gauge adaptor, so that I could mount my pet2500...or maybe an advent there.

Mark,im wondering how the new bar height would be like in CC racing.Would it be legal? Seems like it would be more comfortable.Im sure you will let us know. Those are nice parts BTW.

    Dunno Woodamus!
It might be something to try for CC racers that stand. The idea comes from snowmobile racers. They stand when they race.

I just need something to help me stand up more. I'm hoping this will improve my standing angle. I've got to check out cable lengths and stuff. The throttle cable on 32" bars is already way short. I might have to come up with a 6-8" longer cable to make everything happy.

My reversed Powerbombs help with the length somewhat.

Couldn't you crimp on a piece at the end and join it to a fabbed cable from a bike shop? (Motorcycle)
