    Angry gp1300r problem!! (please help)

I was out on my ski today and it was running fine but after about 20mins or so two symbols started flashing on the dash. 0ne was an engine symbol and the other was like an overheat symbol it gave me error codes 53 and 15.(I checked these and they are engine temp sensor and exhaust temp sensor) I took the ski back in and turned it off for five mins then it started fine but after another 10mins it started flashing up the engine symbol again error 15 so i took the ski out.
My question is what could have caused this and what could i do to solve the problem??. when this happend i wasnt goin full speed i was only going around 40mph

Catalytic converter still in there ?

Exhaust overheat can cause engine overheat too.

Also make sure there is water getting into the engine from the pump (possible clogged strainer)

I checked the strainer today and it was fine so i changed the engine temp sensor but the fault is still coming up. Do i have to leave the battery discconected or anything to clear the fault or do i have a problem elsewhere?? Thanks

This seems so easy. You need a 2.2 ohm resistor instead of that EGT sensor. Anyone else thinking this?
