    RXP-X.. needs supercharger kit.

    25 mins.. breaking in.. went to limp mode.. dealer says it needs a supercharger kit.. it's covered.. just wondering what's the deal with that.. thanks

    fluke, but are you sure you have the issue figured out. Is the code it is giving for that failure. If not you could have other issues that are not as severe.
    many different reasons can go in limp mode.

    its at the dealer.. thats the code when they called BRP..

    Wow that is a scary statement

    The stealer should know the 4 tec error codes(they've only been around since 2003 in SC form) and they should know how a SC ski is going to behave normally.

    Guys, correct me if I'm wrong, but there are no sensors on the engine that monitor boost. And when the SC fails, rpms are down to around 5500 rpms, but no CHK ENG alarm. The only thing associated with the SC failing is a CHK ENG alarm when the bits of the clutch get into the engine and damage the oil pumps - then it's too late - rebuild time... Ron

    yes there is a MAP sensor on top of the manifold next to the ECU.....(manifold air pressure)

    You don't get a code or alarm when the supercharger clutch fails on you.
