94 650sl Carb linkage very hard to turn

I am working on a 94 650sl and just got to the carbs after fixing the rest of the problems, Now onto the carbs problem, the carb linkage is very hard to move, by the throttle or by hand at the front carb, first thought it might be from being old and sitting around but gave them the works with the penetrating lube and nothing better anyone else ever seen this before?

i havent had this happen to me but u might want to think about doing a carb rebuild

or maybe it might be something simple like some gunky buildup

or the scew that holds it on may be to tight

these are just some suggestions seeing how no one else is giving any to u i thought i should try and shed some light on the situation.

good luck on fixing the problem
