    O.k. guys...I have been mulling about this too long, I even had this cut my sleep short today.
    I will be beginning to do this TODAY. I don't have the kit here, but I will be spending the next few days (a little at a time) since I working nights, to clean everything up and have it ready to set in place when my get the piece.
    This has to be done. I want this worry out of my head and have a peice of mind . I'll take plenty of pics as I go.

    Unless John Abbott wants to Overnight himself down here to do this for me :P

    Well guys, I removed the old inserts, and actualyl, they look like they have been replaced before with an updated kti of some sort. They had placed fiberglass over the inserts and did a shoddy job of it. I'll post pics soon when I finish.

    My arms are full of dust, from the grinding and prepping. Took about 1.5-2 hours total. It is ready to install the kit. I did find some cracking around 2 bolt holes.
    question: I will be filling in areas around the bolt holes (inside) tomorrow with Marine-Tex. Or should I leave it as is since the 5200 will be sandwiched inbetween? I was thinking about using the marine-tex to help build the area up, but if the 5200 and carbon fiber peice is going to hold it tight, then I will not. Give me your thoughts.

    this is not as bad as I thought. Just time consuming and tedious. But I can see where I think this was a source of some of my mystery water.

    When I was removing the plugs from the bottom of the pump shoe, I seen where some water was seeping out. And the far right rear insert had an area where I think it was allowing some water intrusion. I also seen where my jetworks supply hose at the transom wall was a little loose. I am also going to smear some 5200 around all the nipples sticking thru the transom wall.

    RX you have mail. 5200 is fine - that stuff is like steel when it fully cures after about 2 weeks. I sent you a detailed e-mail.
