    98 Yamaha XL1200

Hi. I have a xl1200 that has decided it wanted to try to sink it's self.....after 20 mins of riding it had about 5 to 6 inches of water in hull.sounds like it would be easy to find but. NOT..running ski on the hose finally found water to be trickling out of the Black boot that covers the exhaust connection and also houses the bypass hose that expleals water out of the hull fitting in the side of the hull. under this boot is a orange rubber boot that seals the exhaust halves. My question is will running at riding rpms flow more water threw this pipe to cause this much water in 20 mins. compared to a trickle of water at idle on the flush kit. Any help would be great. Thanks MMRG120....

yes it will-water pressure through the pump will increase exponentially but tie your ski to the trailer in the water and run and rev the motor to check for other leaks as well
