Could be a low battery or a bad starter sollenoid. If you have a meter check to see what voltage you have when you hit the start button. If that's good then it is more than likely a bad sollenoid.

Do you get a "12 volt low" alarm? Sounds like just a weak battery!

Is the battery high enuf ampage for the engine im sure i read some where that the 4tecs draw a lot of current on start up. Could be that the battery aint strong enough. Considerin that you have had problems since you fitted that battery. R88

It's almost impossible to flood a 4-tec since it doesn't have a choke. YOu might want to pull one of the plugs and see if you have spark, then pour a small amount of gas in the open plug hole and try to start it. If it tries to start, you could have a bad fuel pump or blown fuse... Ron

Just a few drops. I have a funnel with a long neck that fits into the spark plug hole. It makes winterizing much easier... Ron

Yesterday my RXP wouldn't start (in the water). It would crank but wouldn't start. I pulled it out of the water, after I cleaned it, I checked the plugs, put them back in, then it started....WTF???

What else should I check to prevent this from happening again???
