Sl750 running funny after being flipped over

I have a 1993 Polaris SL750 that a buddy of mine tipped over last weekend.

The thing ran great until he turned it over in the water, after that I noticed that under a full throttle it ran strong for bout five seconds or so then bogged a little and then caught up to a full throttle again. It ran like this over the next day.

I cleaned the plugs and everything seemed normal but it still does this. I noticed that when it bogged down if I pulled out the choke about a 1/4 inch it ran great again and did not bog down at all.

Would flipping it over cause this and how can I adjust it so it runs good again?

I am new to these things but I am pretty good with a wrench so any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks Mike.

I would pull the carbs and make sure you didn't ingest some water.

Wouldn't running it after it tipped blow out any water that might of gotten into the carbs?

It was running at full throttle just bogging out until I hit the choke a little bit.

BOGGING AT WOT MEANS NOT ENOUGH FUEL. PULLING CHOKE CLOSES AIR CHAMBER AND ADDS MORE FUEL. I THINK YOU HAVE A FUEL DELIVERY ISSUE. IF YOU INGESTED WATER, WATER AND OIL MAKE A SLUDGY MESS AND IT DOES NOT CLEAR ITSELF. PULL THE CARBS AND CLEAN THEM REALLY WELL
