    Problems. Need Advice.

Had the ski out today. Was running fine when it suddenly bogged down and lost power for about 10 seconds. Then it ran fine again for about 10 minutes. Then bogged down again and never did run right again. Now it will only rev up to about 4,000 RPM's.

I'm searching the site, but I would love advice. Any tips or comments on where to start are appreciated.

I also tried changing the plugs. Didn't work. I did notice that the #1 plug was darker than the other 2.

    Sorry. 2001 Ultra 150.

It sounds like it's missing. I was planning to rebuild the carbs and pump this winter. Wonder if either of these could cause such poor performance?

BTW, I did learn today that the Ultra's are faster than the Auqatrax Turbo's.

Check Compression, Piston Wash, And Ohm Test Your Stator.

If Compression Is Fine, and You Have Good Wash, I Could Be Convinced That This Is Is A Heat Related Issue

Clog in the cooling system, its going into limp mode. That would be my guess. A fouled plug will usually get you 5k rpm if its only 1.

Water was coming out of the outlet. Could it still be clogged?

Also, I'm going to take a picture of the spark plug that looked different and post it. It has me a little concerned.

There are 2 more cylinder outlets out back above the pump and the exhaust pisser exits there too. The front one is the #1 cylinder. If the plug is gray that is a bad sign. I have fouled one changed plugs and then fouled another one because the cylinder was so loaded up with unburned fuel. A break in a plug wire could cause those symptoms too.

COMPRESSION TEST!!!! Don't spend any money until you do this. Dark or dry plugs not a good sign.
