    I need help with water

I just recently bought a 93 Polaris SL750. In the intake grate area there is a little white plastic plug looking thing. What is that? I suspect water is getting into the hull through there. Please Help.

    Welcome to the Hulk!

Download the 1992-1998 Polaris Service Manual here.

Speedo tube connection inside the hull may have come off. If it has, make sure you reconnect the speedo tube, and not the battery vent tube. Battery vent tube runs to a vent under the steering area, speedo tube runs up to the back of the MFD display or speedometer dial.

If your battery has a small venting nipple on the side, then connect the battery vent tube to that nipple.

    thanks for the help

I tried to loosen that thinking it was some kind of plug (I know stupid). It seems loose now and wont tighten back down to the hull. Would that cause water to come into the hull if it was not tight to the hull? Thanks for the reponse. I heard this was a great forum and it sure seems to be.

Yes it can leak if not tight. Is it just spinning when you try to tighten it?

You probably need a helper to hold the pitot from under the ski while you tighten the nut.

Make sure you have it oriented properly under the hull. The little hole in the fin must point forward, and the fin must be exactly in-line with the water flow.

Also make sure the thin rubber washers are in good shape, and properly positioned. Do not over tighten.

    No turn over no nothing

First I would like to thank all that helped with my issue on my SL750. It runs great with no water leak now.

I have its twin and I cant get anything to happen. I started it last week it started right up. Now absolutely nothing no noise no turn no nothing. Does anyone know what it could be.
    Thanks

Have you checked the circuit breaker reset button yet(on the top of the elect. box)? Check battery volts?
