    Hard starting 04 GTX

    Hi
After pulling the tube at 20 - 30 mph for a while and shutting the motor off long enough for my wife to get back on, my 04 GTX SC is hard to start it turns over ok and has a new battery but dosent seem to fire right up like it normaly does.
If Im just cruising at speed with no tube it will fire up like normal.
Im thinking it may need spark plugs.
The ski has about 140 hours on it and I have owned it for about 3 months so I have no idea when or if the plugs were ever changed.
    What do you think?
    Thanks

Sometimes these skis are a little finicky. Try a fresh set of plugs and some different gas if possible. Also, if you have the problem again, try giving it about 1/3 throttle as you hit the start button. This will cut the amount of fuel being forced in and usually helps get the motor fired up.

Good luck. (and welcome to the forum )

    Rat,
Welcome, definitely changes the plugs and purchase spare plugs while your at it! O Reilly's Autoparts has NGKs for $2-3 each vice $7-8 at the dealership. I have run some "SeaFoam" additive in my gas with excellent results. Also at any autoparts store and Walmart. I had the same problem this spring, thought the plugs "looked" fine, but obviously 1 or 2 were bad. I've learned my lesson, change the plugs every season and keep spares!
