Thumbs up Performance results on SLX after some mods

I was so impressed with the ride today after a few mod changes, that I thought to share a quick note for the archives on a few performance changes on model SLX 1050.

    1) Rebuilt carbs
    2) Changed stock reeds to Boyesen Power Reeds
    3) Swapped stock impeller with a Solas PA-SC-X (with slight pump mod...see attached images/descriptions)
    4) Switched to a Solas intake grate
    5) Installed a Wet Wolf Adjust-A-Thrust

    Results:
Ran a bit rich at idle and now requires a carb adjustment.
    Very quick, snappy throttle response.

Torque has increased drastically to the point of being extremely noticeable.
    ( I had to hold on )
Throttling in a turn is also much more noticeable, in particular to when the sponsons grab.
When coming out of a back end spin, or wave jumping, there is just no comparison to the old stock setup.

No regrets on the parts investment, and a special thank to some community members here for helping out with tips and assembly instructions along the way.

I found that there wasn't enough thickness on the shaft at that area for the spacer. Just not enough to seat deep enough to make me feel confident, so opted to have it machined instead. Did work out well if not perfect
