Yes..they are dangerous and porpoise wildy in mild chop. They don't turn worth a crap and handle like a log. I don't know how they got those speeds..they used to advertise 80mph. Junk science gone to waste imo. They look cheap in person also.

What kind of gains would you dropping 200+ lbs from a GPR? I bet it would be close to 5mph! I wonder... Would a speed record count if I made my GPR an remote controlled boat? I'm 225 that's got to be costing me some good speed!?!?!?!

    Great Lakes,
I believe it's real. This is all that I can seem to pull up on them now, http://kura.zone.ne.jp/swiftoceanics0/ but I remember they used to have a full blown website. Nothing but scraps now. It looks like it has an XP or an HX seat on it, minus the shock.

I saw it in Chicago at a race..the guys who had it were weird, they kept telling of us about the R&D they put into it from boat racing. Well it sounded a like a car engine stuffed into rc boat. I did'nt get to ride, they would only let you watch them ride it around..it sucked they could'nt turn it and if any waves hit they bounce violently almost ejecting the rider everytime. It was more like a boat than ski and the guy just bounce all over the place and got totally wet fro just normal lake waves...nothing like a jetski.

It looked hokey too, not well put together, uncomfortable to sit on. Handlebars and steeering felt like ropes were steering it.
