    Which Impellor for XL1200Ltd?

Sorry if this has been covered, but didn't find it in the search. My XL1200Ltd is stock (apart from Waveater clips, of course, and the pump plug kit). I checked it with a Snap-On compression gauge yesterday and it's showing 130psi across all 3 cyls when warm (for a 100 hour ski I was pleased with that!). I've still got some cavitation on the hole shot, although it's got a lot better since I re-sealed the shoe and pump a few weeks ago. I ride mostly in 1-3 foot chop, and always saltwater. What would you guys suggest I should invest in (size, make etc) impeller-wise to help get it even quicker onto the plane, and still keep it around the 50mph top mark (top speed is not so big a deal, as I've hardly ever ridden on flat water, and don't expect to in the Irish Sea!). Would a different ride plate also be a good idea, or just the impeller. Thank's. DW

If you are looking for more down low I would suggest a 12/18 solas concord. The 13/19 depitch that Island does is a good prop but the 12/18 will have a better root angle for your stated goal.

+1 on the 12/18.. 11/18 might be a little better without engine mods.

What RPM's are you getting, ramsfan?

12/18 on my xlt gives 62.2 mph gps with much improved holeshot over stock. Pulls skier great. Only Hp mod is cut head.

A 13/19 is the way to go with the XLT. We only recomend a 12/18 for higher elevation or "exterme conditions" ( ex. high heat and humidity) where engines make less power.
A 13/19 has a higher root angle than the 12/18
A 13/19's true pitch is actually right aroung the 11/18 to 11.5-18.5 range so an 13/19 pitched to an 11/18 is more a "trued" 13/19 than depitched
After setting up a few thousand xlt's-- go with a 13/19 based impeller

Hey thanks' guys. Carl, are you saying to go 13/19 and keep it stock, or have it de-pitched? I think you mean stock, but I just want to be sure. Once again, thank's all for your input. GH does it yet again for me!
