If you stick with the SC route then I would go with the following:

    RR 8800 ECU
    RR CAM
    RUDE SC
    RRFPR
    Gibson Exhaust
    Riva IC
    Riva VT Upgrade
    Lightweight Valves
    Rear Air Intake
    15/22 Prop

Also you can go with a Turbo and hit like 350 HP.

At this point I really wouldnt want a 300HP X boat......It has plenty of power we just have to find a way to put down the power we have now without getting tossed at 70mph.....I mean if your racing look at it like this some of the stock X boats were competing in the OPEN class and keeping up but also you have to be a good rider....I think you just need to make this ski more efficient if you can do that and then purpose build it I think it will be awhile before many people are going to give you an competition...But if you are drag racing think of it like this....Real drag racing as a distance envolved...Not any of this lets go for a mile and then I will catch up to you....Its about A to B as quick as you can get there without cavitating or porpising...I have seen a many of boats beat a Higher HP boat because the other boat was able to stay hooked From A to B without issue....And with the kind of acceleration that the X boat has your doing pretty good.
