    Matrix Impeller Selection

What have you found that works best. Have found the Nujet styles cavitate either on low end or way over rev on top end. Skat -trac 13-26 works well at holding rpm's on top end, but it doesn't seem to "bite" hard down low...it has a "slipping" feeling when taking off hard from an idle, but once it grabs hold its off to the races. I've ran a Polaris skat-trac version 15-26 that worked well, but over reved slightly. I repitched it to a 15-28 which was a mistake. Now it yanks the rpm down 3-400 on top when the pump reloads. What style do you think works best ( slimeline or swirl) in most conditions?

    Stock impeller re-pitched and lightened.

Talk to Mark Baxter, Chris Bush, JetSkiMN or Impros.

Thanks. The stock impeller hooked up great out of the hole, but it was slamming the rev limiter @ 7800. Who does the work to yhe impeller?

I had my Matrix turning up at 8-8100RPM with a solid pull through the entire range.
I then went with a more aggressive bend, dropped my RPM's to 7700 RPM's and gained a MPH or two.
Baxter did all the tweaking, including lightening the impeller.
He's built so many Matrix, he'd be my first choice.

    I don't know about that. I won't be turning the Matrix RPM's.

I'm from Ft. Wayne IN. My ski is one of 3 put together here localy. Mine is an '03 hull & deck we got from Polaris. The motor is an '04 DI conversion, along with other deck parts that were needed, from a salvaged ski. Head cover, custom ECU's, intake mannifold per Watcon. Cylinders & upper crankcase ported per Flanery. Polaris snowmobile pistons & "W" reeds. 48mm Novi side draft carbs, and pipes with ECWI. What a learning process the last three years have been !!!
