"Making Knockoff Tau Ceti GP Trim Tabs"

Since we can't seem to get trim tabs anymore for our GP hulls, I enlisted the help of my Dad, and a friend of his in AZ. I sent my Dad this .pdf file of what I assume are Tau Ceti knockoffs:

    http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/atta...7&d=1160796225

He says the material has been bought, and his friend Dave is going to make them up for me. I should have them in my hands by the end of this week..

I will post photos when I get them... I don't know if credit goes to OsideBill, or Slaw for this drawing...

The plastic ones eventualy fail. the Metal ones that Riva and Pro-Tec made were alot better. not to hard to make these and the drawing is there for anyone to copy. just follow the link in my signature to hydrotoy's site and click on the pdf folder the drawings are there.

Thanks Bill for posting my prints for the 97 tabs on your site. They are exact copies of the stock tabs out of aluminum for anyone who is wondering. They bolt up to the stock holes.

If anyone wants them a friend of mine made a bunch of sets up and sells them for around $75/set. I know several people on the board bought them from him and I have never heard anyone say anything but positive comments.

    e-mail him at [email protected]

His name is George and tell him Dan sent you his way (I don't get a cut !)

    Thanks.

    Slaw

    UPDATE:

The tabs are done, and on the way... Check out part of the email I got from my Dad:
I just sent your trim tabs FedEx; you should see them Wednesday or Thursday. Also in the box is something Iíve dragged around since you were born; a January, 1972 issue of playboy playmate of the year edition: enjoy! (The pages arenít stuck together!)
So I did the tracking, and they say Thursday is the delivery date....
