Its NOT legal or safe to tow with a '2-seater'.You need a pilot, flagger on the ski AND it must be a 3 seater so you can ride all 3 people at once.

I would also not pull anyone because of wear to the pump parts.

i believe it depands on your states law... i believe some alow towing with a 2 seater.... in australia it is legal to tow with a two seater i have done this for many many hours and years my 03 gpr is basicly my tow boat when ever im on it 90% of the time it is towing... i have not got any cavitation burns on either my pump or prop and engine internals are untouched have not had a problem yet to date....

Your probably right about the different state deal Westy, but its not a good practice to only have 2 people IMO.Trying to hold up a flag when i tuber/wakeboarder etc...goes down and trying to operate a vessel at the same time is not that safe. You need another set of eyes to watch out for other boaters etc....

i pull wakeboarders all the time with my 1300. in north carolina im not sure if you need a spotter on a jet ski, but im pretty sure you have to have one with a boat (flags not required). i havnt seen any damage due to pulling people, ive even pulled 2 tubes at once with it with no problems

Not bad for engine at all. My son wakeskates behind my 1300 all day long.
I literally do it for an hour every time out. Easy out of the hole to prevent cavitation. Learn to feather the throttle.
(In Missouri you don't need a spotter as long as you have 4"X8" convex mirror)

I pull wakeboarders and tubes with my SUV 1200, it has always ran well. I even had it proped to help with the hole shot for towing. It is a four seater so I am legal with this and I do use a spotter.

in ga has to be a 3 seater driver spotter room for the 3rd person i have done it with no damage just dont force it from a dead start takes a lot to get the person out of the water , well if they skiing.
