95 xp steering locked up
i was out jumping waves today off the beach. the ski was running fantastic ecept alittle cavition hear and there. well anyways, i hit a wave going alittle to fast. i ended up getting about 10 ft of air. the ski started to do a back flip so i jumped off in the air to keep it from landing on me.
landed in neck high water (was over a sandbar at high tide). got back on the ski, started fine but would only do left hand circles. the bars are tilted slightly to the left (i cannot turn them at all either way) but the nozzle it full left. i guess the ski landed stright up and down and hit the nozzle on the sandbar and bound something up. i checked the bars and cablebut all seems fine.
now the bar that connects from the ball joint on the nozzle to cable on the inside of the hull seems longer than i remember it. it doesnt seem bent. i will have to get some pics of it 2morrow.
is there anything else i should check? happen to anyone else?

heres some pics
sorry about the quality. took them in the dark with my iphone and a flashlight. in the first one you can see the nozzle is all the way to the left yet the handle bars are just slightly tilted.
now on the other 2, it seems like the steering are is longer than i remember it, am i right?

You are correct- the linkage looks longer, b/c more is sticking out of the hull than there should be. U see the black rubber/plastic pieces on the linkage? The one closest to the hull should be against the through hull fitting. I would unscrew the fitting and see if you can push the linkage back in.

You may end up having to replace the steering cable And is your trim working With an impact like that you can easily strip or break the plastic lead screw
