    HO verses VX110

I have a simple question, maybe.
A friend of mine may be contimplating a new craft, he was looking at the HO and the vx110, it appears via some of the mag articles that the power plants are the same, even the piston size.
HO sells for around 9300.00 and VX for around 7300.00.
? is how to get the vx back up to the 160 horse verses the 110 it comes with.
Is there a chip or other items that could be changed out other than the obvious upgrades.
2000.00 is a lot of dollars for something that me be relativley simple.
    Thanks in advance

there are to many changes to bring 110 to 160

    compression
    multi throttle bodies
    pump
    ignition
not sure but i think the vx110 has no reduction gear so is direct drive not like fx has reduction gear and revs to 10 000 rpm

what the vx110 has over the 160 is the single throttle body would be easier to super or turbo charge

you can wait and this looks like what they are doing

    vx have a reduction gear

Riva is working on an RPM kit for the VX.

Why Yamaha went to all the time and expense to redesign a motor to put out 50 less hp is beyond me. Now the Sea-Doo GTI is stock with 130hp and Yamaha is suckin hind tit again. It would of made too much sense to put the 140hp 4 stroke they already had into the VX

The fx motor will never fit in the vx hull, the engine compartment below the seat is far too narrow. Not everyone want's "biggest is best" and the economy of 7.5 gallons per hour at wide open throttle is unmatched by any PWC within 50hp driving a three seater hull. REXA.
