    Exhaust Sound supresser?

Im trying to figure out how to take out the plastic Exhaust sound supresser/muffler. That thing is huge. I've got all the hoses off but it looks like im going to have to take half the engine apart to get it out. Im pretty much just going to straight pipe it like the riva exhaust kit does. Any help would be appriated.

    2007 RXP

    Thanks

    Justin

    Justin,

You need to remove 4 screws out of the TB so you can get the TB out of the way and that should give you enough space to remove it and dont forget to remove the connectors and the throttle cable that attach to the TB as well. The other way to remove the complete trim module but the quikest way is to remove the TB.

    Thanks man,

I thougt thats what I needed to do. It looks like the clamps on the TB hose and SC hose are one time use. I probley just need to buy some good t-bolt clamps. I dont know if thats you in the picture but that looks just like my cousin! Isaac

On my 07-P, I did have to remove the VTS module, but left the TB intact. A few wiggles and the ressi came right out.

Ok.... Well I was going to remove the VTS module but I dont have a socket big enough to take the plastic nut off the back side. Does anybody know what size it is? 36mm???

Generally that nut is not very tight... should be able to crack it loose with channel locks. I have a cut down wrench that I use
