    Installing Speedfreeks Intercooler Bracket

I was looking for some pointers from someone who has installed one of Speedfreeks Intercooler Brackets. Mainley I was wondering the best way to tighten the bottom screw that goes into the intercooler for mounting. I mounted the bracket, slid the intercooler in with the two screws started and I can't get to the screw to tighten it. Is there a trick. This is on a RXT BTW. Also, does anyone have the pipe lengths for the straight pipe and the 45 degree pipe?

    Thanks in advance.

Have you tried installing the IC on the bracket first and then installing it in the ski as one unit?

    Robbie,

I am waiting on my bracket from Eric. I have visited with him several times and he informed me you need install the ic on the bracket before installing in ski.
Also, Eric should have the complete hose and coupler setup any day now for purchase for the XS ic fitted on his bracket.
I should have my bracket any day now and waiting on hose setup.

    Good Luck with your install.

You need to send AKA - speedfreeks a pm and he will give you contact information.
In respect of Jerry he does not like to do business on the forum.

I will say that i ran just the strap on my xs in the rxp and it worked for a good while, but i just gutted my ski and the strap was broken, so i chose to up grade to a bracket.
The good thing about the bracket is it puts the xs ic as close as possible to the engine (sc and TB) so should have best boost, but that makes the hose and coupler setup very trick.

I will be posting install pics once in ski.

I will try that tonight. Erik told me where he gets the pipes, I just need to cut the ones I bought off. I think it's going to be a tight fit, but worth it. The bracket is sweet!

ya, i am in the same delema. I would have to mod my pipes that I have now but with as close as the ic will be to engine not sure if the exiting pipes will work. Plus dont think I have the right 45 degree bends.
I am a stickler for perfection so if he can get the hose setup kit soon i will probalbly just get it from him.

If you do your own pipe and coupler setup, please send me pm on pic of setup or description of what you used. I might have to mod my exiting pipes and couplers while waiting on setup from speed freeks. thanks
