Need P/N for flush kit for my 2003 MSX 140

I need a flush kit for my 140. Need P/N and if you have one you want to part with, let me know. Also, I am hoping I can run the motor while the engine is hooked up to the kit, correct?

You can use the Polaris kit, which was designed for non-Ficht engines, or an aftermarket flush kit.

The only difference is that the Ficht version of the Polaris kits (I have never seen one) would be designed to avoid the fuel injector.

Mine are connected to the exhaust side of the water manifold, works just fine. Just trim the hose and use or change the fittings for a decent fit to the engine, and clear the seat.

You MUST run the engine when using the reverse flush, unless you clamp off the exhaust water injection hose.

Normally, cooling water is sprayed into the exhaust pipe, and the engine exhaust flow pushes the water away from the engine ports. If the engine is not running, the water can flood backwards into the engine internals, ad cause damage.

    Engine Start, THEN water start
Run engine for MAX two minutes.
Water OFF, burp throttle firmly a couple of times to push excess water out of the water box, then shut engine down.

If you have any parts removed from the thermostat housing, then you must also clamp off the water exit hose, to force the water to flow in the reverse direction through the engine.

Be sure to lube the through-hull fitting with good quality waterproof grease before running the engine on the hose. Helps keep the seal lips from overheating.

Note that the engine cooling is not 100% effective when reverse flushing, and it is common for the front/Mag cylinder to run hotter than the others.

Polaris kit, aftermarket kit, and installed on engine, exhaust water injection hose.
